Dazzle Ship by Sir Peter Blake

Sir Peter Blake's “largest artwork to date,” commissioned by Tate Liverpool and Liverpool Biennial, 14-18 NOW WW1 Centenary Art.

The Dazzle Ship project: working with Liverpool Biennial and 14-18 Now for the Centenary of the First World War. Sir Peter Blake, one of the major figures of British pop art, was commissioned by Liverpool Biennial, 14-18 NOW: First World War Centenary Art Commissions and Tate Liverpool to dazzle the Mersey Ferry Snowdrop, in partnership with Merseytravel and National Museums Liverpool.

Unlike other forms of camouflage, dazzle works not by concealing but by baffling the eye. The dazzled ferry can be seen on the River Mersey until December 2016.
